Morgan County: over the mountain, still in range
Morgan and Mountain Green sit on the back of the Wasatch, twenty minutes up I-84 from Weber Canyon — and squarely inside our service area. It's custom-home and shop country: bigger parcels, mountain weather, and homeowners who want a contractor who shows up on the back side of the mountain as reliably as on the front.
Building on the back of the Wasatch
The back side is a different climate zone in practice: more snow, colder snaps, bigger drifts, and wind funneling down the canyons. That changes real engineering inputs — roof snow load, footing depth, ice-and-water coverage — and it changes scheduling, because concrete and roofing have tighter seasonal windows than they do in the valley. We plan Morgan County projects around Morgan County conditions from the first estimate.
Growth without losing the valley
Mountain Green is one of Northern Utah’s quiet growth stories, and Morgan City’s older homes are reaching the remodel-and-reroof stage. Both kinds of work benefit from the same thing: a GC close enough to supervise daily and disciplined enough to put every price and date in writing.
FAQ
Common questions
Is Morgan County a special trip for you?
No — I-84 through Weber Canyon puts Morgan and Mountain Green well within our normal working range from Farmington. Back-of-the-mountain jobs are scheduled like any others.
What do you build most in Morgan County?
Custom homes and shops on the larger parcels, plus the roofing and remodel work every housing stock needs. Mountain Green's newer subdivisions and Morgan's established homes are different jobs, and we bid them accordingly.
Does mountain weather change how you build here?
Yes — design snow loads are higher on the back of the Wasatch, winters are colder, and building seasons are shorter. Roof structure, ice barriers, and concrete scheduling all get planned for Morgan conditions, not valley conditions.
