Park City & Summit County: mountain-grade work

Park City, the Snyderville Basin, and western Summit County are the southern end of our Wasatch Back coverage. Construction here is its own discipline — serious snow loads, design review and HOA processes, and a large stock of 1980s–90s homes and condos due for real remodels. We bring the same written-estimate discipline over Parley's as we do on the Front.

Snow country is engineering country

Park City roofs carry design snow loads several times what the Salt Lake Valley requires, and the freeze-thaw cycles are relentless. Structure, insulation, ice dams, and ventilation stop being line items and start being the project. Mountain spec is proven ground for us — we’ve built custom homes in Huntsville and on Powder Mountain, country that sees some of the deepest snow in the state — and up here, anything less shows up as damage within a winter or two.

The remodel wave in the Basin

A huge share of Park City-area homes and condos went up in the 1980s and 90s. Those interiors — and their decks, windows, and roofs — are aging out at the same time, which makes the Basin one of the strongest remodel markets in the state. Remodeling here also means working clean in occupied buildings and communicating with HOAs; both are process problems, and process is our strong suit.

FAQ

Common questions

Do you work inside Park City limits?

Yes — with the caveat every honest contractor should give: Park City and many Basin neighborhoods add design review, HOA approvals, and historic-district rules to the normal permit process. We build that review time into the schedule up front.

What Park City work fits you best?

Remodels of the 1980s and 90s housing and condo stock, additions, and mountain-spec projects like garages built for real snow. For very large luxury builds with dedicated owner's reps, a resort-specialty GC may fit better — we will tell you if that is your project.

Is the Wasatch Back a surcharge zone for you?

No. Kimball Junction is about 40 minutes from our Farmington base via I-80; we treat the Basin as normal working range and schedule it accordingly.
