Salt Lake County: remodels, additions & commercial

Salt Lake County is where our remodel, addition, and light-commercial work concentrates — from Salt Lake City neighborhoods like Sugar House and the Avenues to Sandy, Draper, and the west valley cities. We're based just up the road in Farmington, close enough for daily site presence anywhere in the valley.

Older neighborhoods, real remodel craft

Sugar House, the Avenues, Liberty Wells, Millcreek — Salt Lake’s most-loved neighborhoods are also its oldest, and remodeling there is a craft exercise: matching hundred-year-old trim profiles, adding a bathroom where none was plumbed, opening a wall that turns out to hold the house up. Our estimates name those risks up front and carry honest allowances for them.

Additions that beat moving

With valley lot prices where they are, adding a primary suite or expanding a kitchen frequently beats selling and re-buying. Additions in the county’s older neighborhoods mean tying new foundations and rooflines into old ones — precise, unforgiving work that separates general contractors from crews that only build new.

FAQ

Common questions

Do you really cover the whole valley?

Yes — Salt Lake City, South Salt Lake, Millcreek, Holladay, Murray, Midvale, Sandy, Draper, Cottonwood Heights, Taylorsville, West Valley City, West Jordan, South Jordan, Riverton, and Herriman. Farmington to downtown is about twenty minutes outside rush hour.

Is permitting different in Salt Lake County?

Meaningfully. The county is a patchwork of cities, each with its own building department, timelines, and quirks — and Salt Lake City adds historic-district review in some neighborhoods. We build permit reality into the schedule instead of discovering it later.

Do you do commercial work in the valley?

Yes — tenant improvements and light commercial build-outs are a natural fit here, where most of Northern Utah's commercial space is. See our commercial page for how we schedule around opening dates.
